partners, trusted and concerned members of civil society,
governments, and members of the defence and security
communities in strengthening global energy security.
We understand that energy and its availability remains a
cornerstone of socio-economic progress and democratic
development. We also recognize that its use as an instrument
for undermining economic, social, cultural, and democratic
political advancement is a threat to global peace and
stability; we seek to establish, support and advance
strategic thinking, dialogue and practical solutions for
mitigating this threat.
